Myrtle Beach International Airport Celebrates Latest Expansion with Grand Opening of 6 New Gates

The $93.5 million, 50,000-square-foot expansion to concourse A at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) took just 17 months to complete. The first steel was set on Dec. 2, 2024, nearly one year to the day before the Dec. 1, 2025 ribbon cutting.

“We are just thrilled that this project was able to come in at about six weeks under time and about $4.5 million under budget,” said Judi Olmstead, Horry County’s Director of Airports.
