Yesterday, Play Golf Myrtle Beach’s Jim Maggio paid an early-morning visit to “The Granddaddy” of Myrtle Beach golf, Pine Lakes Country Club, to capture hole-by-hole imagery of the heart of the Grand Strand’s first-ever course. The Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame welcomed two influential figures into its prestigious ranks when Dr. Bruce Martin and Arthur L. “Max” Morgan Jr. were enshrined during Wednesday’s ceremony at the historic Pine Lakes Country Club. Created in 2008, the Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made an indelible mark on the Grand Strand golf industry.
