Led by a 3-under par performance by Steven Shea, Charlotte Catholic High School (NC) claimed the championship flight trophy Saturday at the 2022 Palmetto High School Golf Championship at True Blue Golf Club and Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, besting Marvin Ridge High School (NC) by 10 strokes.

Round 1 of the 23^rd Annual Palmetto High School Golf Championships teed off Thursday morning at True Blue Golf Club in Pawleys Island, S.C., as 32 teams from the Carolinas, Georgia and several other states compete in a 54-hole, collegiate-style tournament.
