The Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame will welcome two influential figures into its prestigious ranks when Dr. Bruce Martin and Arthur L. “Max” Morgan Jr. are enshrined during a ceremony at the historic Pine Lakes Country Club on September 24. Created in 2008, the Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made an indelible mark on the Grand Strand golf industry.

The PGA TOUR’S ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic will again be played in early May in 2026, with the competition dates set for May 7-10 at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club. The field size for the coming year will be slightly smaller, with 120 players competing, 12 fewer than in the past two years. Ryan Fox captured the 2025 Classic with a dramatic chip-in to win a three-way playoff over Harry Higgs and Mackenzie Hughes.

The 28^th Annual Family Golf Week wrapped up Saturday with final-round action teeing it up at Barefoot-Fazio and seven additional award-winning designs throughout the Myrtle Beach area, and flight winners and National Champions crowned at the awards presentations at Barefoot Resort & Golf.

More than 800 players from 40 states are calling the Grand Strand home this week as they take part in the 28^th Annual Family Golf Week, with second-round action teeing it up Friday at Shaftesbury Glen and seven additional award-winning designs throughout the Myrtle Beach area.

This week, Jim Maggio once more paid visits to courses on each end of the Grand Strand: the Tom Fazio/Lanny Wadkins design at TPC Myrtle Beach to the south, and the Willard Byrd signature course at Sea Trail Golf Resort to the north. Faithful event participants Broderick Arnold of Fayetteville, Georgia and the Doolittle Family from Fairfield, Connecticut were honored with the 2025 Father of the Year and Family of the Year awards at a fun-filled Family Golf Night at Barefoot Resort for the  28^th Annual Family Golf Week in Myrtle Beach.
