The Campbell University Women’s Golf Team and Arkansas State Men’s Golf Team each secured championship trophies at the 2024 Golfweek Fall Challenge this week at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club and True Blue Golf Club. For the Campbell women, the victory marked a milestone in the career of National Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee John Crooks, who earned his 100th career win as a women’s college golf coach.

Myrtle Beach Classic Recognizes Benefiting Local Charities; $225,000 Awarded to 9 Agencies

Chris Gotterup accepted the winner’s trophy at the inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic, but he wasn’t the only winner at the area’s first-ever PGA TOUR event. The event was a big hit, drawing more than 40,000 spectators during a week of perfect weather that helped showcase The Dunes Golf & Beach Club. In addition, nine local charities shared $225,000, with seven of those receiving at least $26,750.
