Legends Resort – Moorland Course

1500 Legends Rd · Myrtle Beach SC, 29579

The 16th hole, affectionately referred to as "Hell’s Half-Acre," is not for the faint of heart. Channel your competitive nature and come take on this 270-yard par 4, along with the rest of this memorable course.

Course Highlights

  • This par 72 course features large expanses of natural growth, sand, water and waste areas.

On and off for the past 10 years. The practice facilities are second to none in the area! And the food and service are good too.

15 years, have been a owner for the past 12. 3 great courses on site, 2 other great courses on the group all top notch. Not to mention a great staff and practice area.

15 years. Love Moreland 17th hole. Almost got a hole in one there.

March will be our 9th year in a row. The convenience of the condos and courses in the same spot is a big plus, but overall the best thing is Heritage.

January will be 20 years, we like staying at the golf course and not having to drive from course to course.

19 years in 2019 - from England. Without doubt the best thing is the hospitality and warm welcome that always greet us. Cannot wait

We moved into Parkland about two weeks ago. As soon as I find my clubs hope to play and make everyone around me feel better about their game.

4 years now..........and for the most part the atmosphere and the staff. We really get treated well and I truly think that staff appreciate the golfers overall. \

This weeks trip will be third year

Coming for 4 years. I'd say the entire package. Cost, Convenience, Courses.

Been coming every year since 2012. Oyster is probably my favorite course. Ailsa pub is maybe my favorite place. Love having a watering hole you don't have to drive to.

March will be our 3rd year. Legends courses are my favorite because of the variety and challenges. Practice facility is top notch and 19th hole is always good. Heritage and Oyster bay are a nice change and worth the drive. Can't wait to be back!

Returning for our second year next year. We love playing here and may add it to our rotation more

This will be our 5th year of bringing a group of 50 or more people to Legends. Every year is a great time for all, for both golfers and non-golfers alike, and everyone looks forward to the next year. The courses are all great, and the attention to detail in taking care of our group is second to none. See you in June!

16 years this spring! Great courses!

For the last 8 years! Heathland is one of our favs to play!

I first played the Heathland Course in 1985, the day after Hurricane Bob had passed the Carolinas. The course was a genuine scotch style links course and wide open to the passing winds. Just about all the tree and bush growth present there today, hadn’t grown yet.

Been coming to legends or oyster bat for20 plus years. Just enjoy the stay and courses. As the courses are a challenge. That’s what I enjoy.

My first time was 1995. We came this year but hurricane Florence forced us to leave early. We will be back next year!

When Sean Nicholas thought the gators were fake

That short par 3 by the road and watching the gators Beautiful shot

19th hole

The great par fives along Calabash Creek

The back 9

#5 is one of the most beautiful settings on the Strand

Sam Barbetto Hey Gator, is this the hole where you encountered those dinosaurs you love?

Gators!!!.....Not to many of them in Wisconsin.

Watching my brother Scott and friend Scott not be able to get out of your bunkers. Especially hole #13.

It’s not the cart paths.

One of my favorite courses like the see the gators

Too many dogleg rights for my draw to pick my favorite so I guess the 4 holes that aren’t dogleg rights are my favorites.

Played mid March last year and greens were terrible, not sure if I'll return

Living on #2, playing golf with Jeff Hillwig Tina Rizzo and Beth Parker Stout

Tom Jay this is the hole you hit the gator hahaha

When the tee boxes and fairways have grass.

Losing less than a dozen balls😁

Lost balls.

This is the fun hole not a long par three lots of alligators

#13 to #18 are probably the best closing stretch in the Myrtle Beach area.

Great golf course! One of my favorites!

My favourite thing about playing Oyster? Leaving. The last time we played it (in 2015?), it was in such horrendous condition that we vowed not to go back. And we haven’t. And judging by what many are saying about it elsewhere online, we won’t be rushing to play it anytime soon. A shame really.
