The Beast Has Arrived in Myrtle Beach: Sean Fister Brings Long-Drive Prowess to Help Golfers

Golf balls in Myrtle Beach, beware. “The Beast” has arrived in “the Golf Capital of the World,” and he’s hungry.

This isn’t some fictional animal that eats golf balls for breakfast. It’s Sean “The Beast” Fister, one of the game’s most prodigious long hitters: a three-time World Long Drive Champion who has been known to demolish golf balls and send them into orbit, never to be seen again. He is also Myrtle Beach’s newest resident, on a mission to help Myrtle Beach golfers add yardage and distance to their games. The Beast recently joined the instruction staff at the Dustin Johnson Golf School in Murrells Inlet, S.C., and is excited to be part of the Grand Strand golf community.

“I feel very fortunate to have found the right time to come aboard with the Dustin Johnson Golf School,” said Fister. “I really am excited for the future.”

After an illustrious career competing in 33 World Long Drive Championships, “The Beast” holds 13 RE/MAX World Championship records, and 13 top-10 finishes at the World Long Drive Championship. The 2002 Long Drivers of America Hall of Famer also wrote a New York Times bestselling book, The Long Drive Bible, and is renowned for his expertise in dissecting a swing and quickly generating a plan to add yardage for that golfer.

“Everybody wants to hit the ball farther, but that sentence is incomplete,” said Fister. “They want to hit the ball farther, but they want to find the ball. What I can do is help with distance, and accurate distance.”

“The Beast” joins an already talented coaching staff at the Dustin Johnson Golf School headlined by 2020 Carolinas PGA Teacher of the Year Allen Terrell, who also coaches the world’s top-ranked golfer and most recent winner of The Masters, Dustin Johnson.

“I will definitely find you some yards. There is no question about that,” said Fister. “But, these yards are going to come down the fairway. That’s what I do, and that’s what I am excited to do at the Dustin Johnson Golf School.”

If you’re ready to add some yardage to your game, “The Beast” is available to help. Visit the Dustin Johnson Golf School website for more information and to schedule a session.
