Bold and cavalier like his own style of play with undeniable character, the Norman Course offers an unforgettable golf experience with top-tier service that Barefoot Resort has become known for.

As one of the most accomplished professional golfers of the modern era, Norman drew upon his remarkable playing career around the globe to design a course that embraces the natural landscape along with signature Australian outback elements. Native grasses tied into expansive sandy waste areas create this “down-under” feel on this par-72 layout that tips out just over 7,000 yards.

Norman appreciates every facet of the game and knows it’s meant to be enjoyed with distinct fairways, short-to-medium length par 3s and beautiful risk-reward holes including the drivable par-four 8th, a slight dogleg right with sandy waste area off the tee and protective bunkers surrounding the large green. Much like Australia, there’s plenty of water in play, though mostly as stunning vistas on seven of the nine holes on the back nine – none more spectacular than the par-three 10th, and par-four 14th.

Since opening in 2000, the Norman Course has garnered many awards for its design and overall playing experience. The Norman Course comprises just one of the “Fantastic Four” courses at Barefoot Resort & Golf, notably named the 2017 North America Golf Resort of the Year.

Integral to your playing experience is the uncompromising service and facilities at Barefoot. The expansive, 30-acre lighted driving range includes everyone’s favorite, Putter’s Pub, to grab a pint, lunch, dinner or watch your favorite sports team.

The Norman, Fazio and Love courses are serviced by this spectacular clubhouse with historical archives from each course’s construction, pro shop with top of the line apparel, bar and grille and back deck patio overlooking the 18th hole of the Fazio Course.

Host resort of the annual “Monday After the Masters” Pro-Am, Barefoot Resort & Golf continues to raise the bar for excellence in golf at Myrtle Beach.
