Crow Creek Re-Opens With New Bentgrass Greens

October 13, 2017

Crow creek is in great shape after a greens renovation projectThe Brunswick County layout, long a favorite of golfers due to the quality of its design and conditioning, installed new V8 bentgrass greens.

In recent years, many Myrtle Beach golf courses have opted for one of the newer ultradwarf Bermuda grasses when installing new greens, but Crow Creek Golf Club has made the commitment to bentgrass, widely regards golf’s best putting surface.

V8 is a newer, more heat resistant strain that will allow it to withstand the summer heat along the Southeast coast. A cool season grass, the bentgrass will be pristine during the Myrtle Beach area’s peak spring and fall seasons.

Crow Creek was closed nearly four months to allow for completion of the project, which also included repair work to cart paths and bridges, fairway drainage was improved, the interior of the clubhouse was repainted, and the restaurant got new carpet.

The Rick Robbins design reopened on October 9 and is in pristine condition from tee to green.

Crow Creek can be booked as part of a number of packages, including the PGA 4 deal which includes a $100 gift card for everyone in the group.
