Family Golf Week 2022 Kicks Off in Myrtle Beach

Nearly 900 golfers from far and wide have arrived in Myrtle Beach for the 25th Anniversary of Family Golf Week! The show began today with Round 1 action at each of the eight hosting golf courses.

Family Golf Week activities began this week with check-in days at the Barefoot Resort Clubhouse, including a putting challenge and the distribution of gift bags with merchandise valued at more than $500 for each participant. First-round play began today, with “Family Golf Night” activities at the Barefoot Resort Practice Facility set for 4 – 8 p.m. later this evening featuring a skills challenge, demonstrations, food and beverage provided by Logan’s Roadhouse, and the Family Golf Week “Parent of the Year” and “Father of the Year” awards presentations to this year’s honorees: North Myrtle Beach Mayor Marilyn Hatley & longtime event supporter Mike Binder.

Family Golf Week, which includes the Father & Son Team Classic and Parent & Child Team Classic, features three rounds of play at eight Myrtle Beach-area courses: The Pearl, the Love Course at Barefoot Resort, Shaftesbury Glen, Wachesaw Plantation East, Arcadian Shores, Prestwick, Pine Lakes and Crow Creek.
