An already strong Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am field has received a Hall of Fame caliber boost.
Wayne Gretzky, widely regarded as the greatest hockey player to ever live, and legendary Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino have committed to play in the 19th annual event. (complete celebrity list)
The Monday After the Masters, which sold out in record time, will be played Monday, April 15 at the Dye Club, the event’s longtime host.
A five-time Stanley Cup champion and the NHL’s all-time leader in points scored, Gretzky will be making his first appearance at the Monday After the Masters, where he will be paired with PGA Tour star Dustin Johnson.

Marino, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, has long been one of the event’s most popular participants.
Three other hall of famers will join Gretzky and Marino. Gretzky’s former Edmonton Oilers teammate Grant Fuhr, NBA star Rick Barry and Bruce Smith, the NFL’s all-time sack leader, will be playing as well.
The largest one-day fundraiser in South Carolina, the Monday After the Masters has raised nearly $5 million for charity, including $350,000 last year.
The 2013 event will kickoff with ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning Show broadcasting live from the Dye Club’s first tee from 6-10 a.m. It will mark the third consecutive year that America’s most popular sports talk show has originated from the event.
Other headliners in this year’s field include, 20-time PGA Tour winner Davis Love III, LPGA icon Nancy Lopez, PGA Tour star Jim Furyk, two-time World Series champion Johnny Damon, Super Bowl winning quarterback Jim McMahon and musicians Javier Colon, Andrew Copeland, Pat Green, Edwin McCain and Jack Ingram.
Among the professional golfers slated to join Johnson, Love, Furyk and Lopez are Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey, John Daly, Charlie Rymer and Boo Weekly.

Following the Mike & Mike broadcast, which will air on ESPN Radio in addition to being simulcast on ESPN2, the celebrity long drive contest will start at 10 a.m. and the tournament will tee off immediately following.
The money raised by the Monday After the Masters benefits education in the Palmetto State and the South Carolina Junior Golf Association.
