“Prostate cancer affects one in six men, including many sports and entertainment celebrities,” said Heath Carter, ZERO's Director of Marketing and Communications. “We are thankful that so many of these individuals have pledged their support to the Know Your Score campaign and are dedicated to finding a cure.”

With a large number of male visitors, the Myrtle Beach golf community recognized an opportunity to reach out to its target demographic about a disease that disproportionately impacts them. With the help of ZERO — The Project to End Prostate Cancer and the many celebrities committed to the cause, Know Your Score raises money for research and educates men on the importance of early detection of prostate cancer.

The most common non-skin cancer in America, prostate cancer afflicts 1 in 6 men, the vast majority of that total over the age of 40.

Pawleys Plantation, a 4-star course, according to Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play guide, is a Myrtle Beach golf favorite. Several holes on the back nine play along the saltmarsh and inlet, creating breathtaking views and challenge.
