Longtime Classic Swing Student Turns Pro

Haylee Harford, a Furman University graduate and longtime student of Ted Frick and Classic Swing Golf School at Legends Golf Resort, turned professional in June. See the role that the golf school has played in her development.

Haylee Harford:
I grew up playing golf at a really young age. My dad started me when I was about five years old. Went through some junior tours; I played on the AJGA and found my way to Furman University, where I played college golf for four years. Now, I just turned professional in June, so I’m on my way hopefully to play on the LPGA Tour someday.

I’ve been seeing Ted here for 10 years, and we just clicked automatically. Every time I come here, he’s going to take care of analyzing my swing on video or putting me on different drills. They have so many resources here that they can use to analyze my swing.

Ted Frick:
Every year, there’ve been stages of seeing really big steps of improvement.

Haylee Harford:
That’s always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to play on the LPGA Tour.

Ted Frick:
Haylee, I mean, you have to know in your heart that you have what it takes. You have to know that you are being surrounded by a lot of people that really love and care for you. They’re going to support you on this journey, so you’re not on your own. And just use each day to the best of your ability, and lean on those that can help you. And that’s what this is all about. So we’re gonna surround you with the best people and all the advice that we can give you. And you just give it your best, because you’ve got what it takes.
