Fans attending the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic will be treated to a unique motorsports experience as a McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team Showcar will be displayed on site throughout tournament week at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club. As part of ONEflight International’s global partnership with the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team, the showcar will be prominently staged near the first tee, offering spectators an up‑close look at one of the iconic brands in global motorsport.
In addition, McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team driver Lando Norris, the reigning Formula 1 World Champion, and Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, will tee it up in the Wednesday Pro‑Am on May 6th.
“Bringing motorsport to the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic adds another exciting dimension to tournament week,” said Darren Nelson, tournament director of the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic.“Having Lando Norris and Zak Brown on site, along with a McLaren showcar, will create a special experience for our fans.”
A few Pro-Am teams for Wednesday are still available. For more information on the Pro-Am and VIP hospitality options, contact Bryce Jeske, director of sales, at bryce.jeske@sportfive.com.
Tickets for the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic are available at www.oneflightmyrtlebeachclassic.com. Children aged 15 and under will receive complimentary admission when accompanied by a paying adult. Active and retired military personnel, as well as first responders, are welcome to two free tickets to Wednesday’s practice round, and additional tickets (two per day) for Thursday through Sunday at a 25 percent discount.
Last year’s event, won by Ryan Fox in a playoff, drew more than 30,000 fans, delivered some memorable golf moments and offered additional entertainment with two free concerts.
The concert series for this year will see The Beach Boys, joined by John Stamos, perform on Friday. Before The Beach Boys take the stage, singer Benedetta Caretta, who is a rising star from Italy, will open. Then, Julio and the Saltines, a local cover band whose high energy makes them a favorite across the Carolinas, will hit the stage on Saturday. Both shows are free to that day’s ticket holders and will start shortly after play is completed for the day.
