MYR Celebrates Inaugural Flight Arrival from New Haven, CT on Newest Airline, Avelo
The Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) welcomed its newest air service provider, Avelo Airlines, on Thursday with a traditional ribbon cutting and water cannon salute as part of the celebrated addition of the New Haven, CT market.
“Today is an exciting day for MYR,” said Scott Van Moppes, Director of Airports. “We’re pleased to welcome our 10th and newest airline, Avelo, to the Grand Strand. With their new offering of year-round, nonstop flights to New Haven, Connecticut, tourists and locals alike can benefit from easy connectivity between Myrtle Beach and the Elm City.
“In just under two hours, New Haven residents can look forward to enjoyment of our 60-miles of beautiful South Carolina coastline.
