Myrtle Beach Golf Courses Giving Back This Holiday Season

Golf courses throughout the Grand Strand are lending a helping hand this holiday season to benefit those less fortunate. Here are but a few initiatives currently underway, with more information on how you can get involved.

Man O War Golf Club and The Wizard Golf Links are hosting the annual Christmas Child Golf Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 14th to benefit the Pardue Children in Need Fund. The shotgun start is at 10 a.m., with lunch provided as part of the registration fee ($65 per player, $260 per 4-person team, $345 per team with hole and green sponsorship included). Individual hole and green sponsorships are also available at $100, and all event proceeds will benefit the Pardue Children in Need Fund’s ongoing efforts to provide joy to children in need in South Carolina and Georgia. For more information or to register, call Man O War at 843-236-8000.

Along with sister course , Man O War and The Wizard are also hosting a canned food drive to benefit people in need served by Churches Assisting People (CAP). From Dec. 16 to Dec 24, each person donating three canned food items can then play The Witch, Man O War or The Wizard for the price of cart fee only ($24 plus tax). Call 843-282-2977 to learn more.

For the past 15 years, the homeowners of the Tidewater Golf Club community have devoted holiday efforts to fulfilling wish lists for approximately 20 middle school-age children in need through their Christmas Angels program, with guidance provided by North Myrtle Beach Middle School. Contact Tidewater at 843-466-8754 to learn more about how you can help.

Arrowhead Country Club is conducting its Toys for Tots special for the holidays. From now through December 15, you can bring in a new, unwrapped toy for a child in need and play this popular Raymond Floyd/Tom Jackson track for just $25. Call 843-236-3243 and mention this special when booking.
