The Myrtle Beach March Championship returned to the Grand Strand, as 216 golfers from around the country gathered for an early-season tune-up. The first round of the three-round event took place Sunday at Whispering Pines and the Hackler Golf Course.
With the majority of the field coming from northern states, experiencing winter-like conditions, the first-round weather in the Myrtle Beach area was welcomed with open arms. Temperatures hovered in the mid 70s for a perfect spring round, and the forecast for the rest of the week calls for perfect conditions for the visiting golfers.
