Bradley Vaughan, sales and marketing manager for the Legend Group of five golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area (Heritage Club, the Parkland/Heathland/Moorland courses at Legends Resort, and Oyster Bay), discusses the cart path renovations work recently completed at Oyster Bay that concluded this project conducted across all Legends Group designs.
Bradley Vaughan:
We basically did about 40,000 linear feet of cart path across the five properties and clubhouses. It started really last winter with Heritage Club and then kind of extended throughout this past year and into this year over the rest of the five courses. Now, Oyster Bay has gotten about 7,000 linear feet as well done. So it’s been a huge undertaking and it’s going to be great for our golfers who are going to be joining us in the next year to see how much money, time, and effort we’ve invested into our properties.
The cart paths were definitely probably beat up the worst here with the tree lines that we have here compared to maybe the other properties. The reports have been glowing. People have been coming in off of the golf course that didn’t know that was going on, saw it happening on the golf course, came in and said how excited and happy they were to see that that was finally getting done.
You’re going to always see the best conditions put forward on our properties. All five golf courses are always in great shape. We will always make sure that the infrastructure surrounding the golf courses is in excellent shape. But the big project that we’re really working on right now is updating some of our condos at the resort. We’ve actually just finished our third condo renovation, so that’s been going on for about seven, eight months now that we’ve been undergoing that renovation project in the resort and we will continue to do that in the near future. So that’s another exciting thing that guests will have to look forward to when they stay and play with us.
