Paige Spiranac’s 3 Top Courses for a Second Season Getaway to Myrtle Beach

Every summer, when the heat picks up in my home state of Arizona, I start dreaming about my fall golf trips out to Myrtle Beach. Golf’s Second Season in Myrtle Beach offers the perfect escape for me, and for everyone looking for the ultimate break to celebrate the end of a steamy summer.

If you’re also in the process of planning your fall golf getaway, here are my top picks of Grand Strand golf courses that will make your Second Season golf vacation one for the ages:

Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. This is one of my top five courses ever! It’s beautiful, unique, and fair, but it still tests your game. Plus, the second shot on Hole 18 is my all-time favorite; the crowd watching and cheering on the finishing golfers’ tee shots from the clubhouse back porch always adds a fun element to finishing your round there.

The Dye Course at Barefoot Resort. Playing this course is an especially awesome experience when doing so as part of the Monday After the Masters, which I’ve been fortunate to do in recent years. The course has the best and most welcoming staff that always makes me feel right at home. And while the Dye Course is my favorite, all of the courses at Barefoot Resort (including the Fazio, Norman and Love courses) are great!

TPC Myrtle Beach. While this is an amazing course, what makes it really special is the new-look Dustin Johnson Golf School. Allen Terrell, their director of coaching and Dustin’s swing coach, is a world-class instructor who is doing amazing things to grow the game and give back to junior golfers in the area through the Dustin Johnson Foundation. It’s a great venue, either to play or to schedule a lesson!
