More than 670 golfers from throughout the United States and Canada descended upon the Grand Strand once more for one of the Myrtle Beach area’s most anticipated events, the Style Driver Fall Classic.
A full field of players from 33 states and Canada, traveling from as far away as Hawaii, competed in the 2024 edition of the popular season-ending competition that played Round 4 Thursday at Tradition Club, True Blue, River Club, River Hills, Long Bay and Legends-Moorland.
The course lineup represents many of the best the Grand Strand golf scene has to offer, with 20 venues hosting 12 flights: Arrowhead, the Dye and Norman courses at Barefoot Resort, Caledonia, Grande Dunes Resort Course, Legends-Moorland, Long Bay, Man O’ War, King’s North at Myrtle Beach National, Meadowlands, Pine Lakes, Prestwick, River Club, River Hills, Thistle, TPC Myrtle Beach, Tradition Club, True Blue, Wachesaw East and The Wizard.
The Style Driver Fall Classic was contested as a two-person team event over four rounds, with daily formats varying by round (Round 1 Best Ball, Round 2 Texas Scramble-Combined Score, Round 3 Best Ball, and Round 4 Scramble/”Captain’s Choice”). Scoring was based on net results using a percentage of each player’s handicap.
Style Driver gift cards were issued as prizes to the event’s top finishers, with each member of the first-place tandem from each flight receiving a $300 gift card. Second- and third-place team members each received $150 and $75 gift cards, respectively.
As part of their entry fee that included four rounds of golf, each player also received a tournament logo’d hoodie and backpack, a $50 restaurant group gift card with Homegrown Hospitality, and a post-tournament luncheon where awards and random drawing prizes were distributed.
Founded in 2023, Style Driver simplifies tournament experiences and has participated in more than 25 events across 12 states and Puerto Rico in that time. They specialize in offering embroidery services, staff and volunteer apparel, and gifting suites.
