Seasonal Flights to Myrtle Beach Ramping Up as Spring Golf Season Approaches

Spirit Airlines has gotten a jump on spring flights serving Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) from a variety of nationwide markets, having already resumed six seasonal routes, while Delta, American, Frontier and United are poised to join them in March.

Last week, Spirit resumed seasonal flights serving MYR from Detroit (MI), Hartford (CT), Chicago-O’Hare (IL), Philadelphia (PA), Latrobe (PA) and Pittsburgh, with Cleveland (OH) slated to join them March 10. April’s rollout of eight flights includes new, seasonal service to Akron-Canton Airport (OH) beginning April 15.

Delta resumes service in early March, from Detroit on March 2 and New York-LaGuardia on March 4, while increasing LaGuardia flight capacity to daily service through September. In April, Delta rolls out new, seasonal nonstop service to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MN) beginning April 12.

American’s March service resumptions include Washington, DC-National and Dallas/Fort Worth (TX) on March 4. Frontier resumes flights to MYR from Philadelphia on March 8, with United resuming its service from Newark (NJ) on March 28.

Looking ahead, April is when Sun Country and Allegiant join the stable of seasonal Myrtle Beach flights. Sun Country resumes its Minneapolis/St. Paul service on April 2, while Allegiant looks to Tax Day (April 15) to relaunch its seasonal flights from Allentown (PA) and Columbus (OH).
