Sold-Out Field Arriving for Monday Kickoff to Myrtle Beach Preseason Classic

A sold-out field of 300 golfers from 29 states descends upon the Grand Strand this weekend to kick off Myrtle Beach’s 2021 tournament season, as the Myrtle Beach Preseason Classic begins Monday and continues through Wednesday.

Aberdeen Country Club, the Love Course at Barefoot Resort and Rivers Edge Golf Club host first-round action, with the Avocet Course at Wild Wing, Tradition Golf Club and Arrowhead Country Club in the wings on Tuesday for Round 2. Wednesday’s final-round action tees off at True Blue Golf Club, River Club and Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club.

Kicking off its seventh year of competition, the Preseason Classic features a 54-hole, two-person tournament format contested in best ball, modified alternate shot and Texas scramble formats on successive days. Flight winners are determine based on team handicap, with flight prizes, random drawings, on-course contests and great golf camaraderie awaiting players arriving from far and wide to “The Golf Capital of the World.”

In addition to the nine aforementioned courses, Coastal Golfaway (Brunswick Plantation), Sands Ocean Club Resort and Together Resorts are hosting players as Preseason Classic lodging partners, offering special rates for Preseason Classic participants.
