Spirit and Allegiant Announce New Seasonal MYR Flights for Rochester, NY and Akron-Canton, OH

Travelers at the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) can look forward to new nonstop flight options this summer from two of its most active airlines. Beginning May 15, Spirit Airlines will launch new seasonal flights serving Rochester, NY (ROC), while Allegiant Airlines will launch new seasonal flights to and from Akron-Canton, OH (CAK) starting June 1.

Spirit’s Rochester flights will operate four times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available for purchase at www.spirit.com.

Allegiant’s Akron-Canton route will operate twice weekly on Thursday and Sunday. Tickets are available for purchase at www.allegiantair.com.

“We couldn’t be more excited for these new routes,” said Judi Olmstead, Assistant Director of Airports. “Both markets have incredibly high travel demand, yet both were considered underserved due to a lack of nonstop flight options. These new flights will provide easy access to the Grand Strand for the many visitors and second-home owners from this region, in addition to providing our residents with even more options for visiting friends and family this summer.”
