Steve Dresser Golf Academy Honored by Golf Digest Among America’s Top 100 Clubfitters

Steve Dresser Golf Academy in Pawleys Island, SC has added another prestigious honor to its mantle with its inclusion among Golf Digest’s choices for “Best Clubfitters in America” for 2023-2024.

Based at True Blue Golf Club, Steve Dresser Golf Academy was named one of the esteemed golf publication’s top 100 local/regional clubfitting centers in the nation and was one of only four in South Carolina chosen. The Myrtle Beach locations for Club Champion and Golf Galaxy, along with PGA TOUR Superstore’s North Myrtle Beach location, were among the Palmetto State’s inclusions in Golf Digest’s choices of top national chain locations.

The longest-running golf school in the Myrtle Beach area, Steve Dresser Golf Academy has also earned previous honors by Golf Digest as among those facilities with the “Best Instructors in South Carolina,” and GOLF Magazine has included it among its choices of America’s “Top 25 Golf Schools” and “Top Regional Instructor.”

Golf Digest’s 2023-24 list of America’s 100 Best Clubfitters first debuted in 2011 and considers a wide range of facilities that offer clubfitting access to the general public including independent shops, practice ranges and full-service performance centers, large retail stores, resorts, golf courses and national chains. More than 1,000 facilities were reviewed, which included nomination forms that detailed each facility’s resources, tools, expertise and fitting methodology.

Golf Digest also conducted a poll of leading equipment-company experts and its nationwide panel of more than 2,000 Golf Digest course-ranking panelists. For the first time ever, an online poll of Golf Digest subscribers generated nearly 10,000 votes.
