Team USA Rallies to Capture Inaugural Can Am Cup Saturday at Barefoot Resort
Team USA overcame a one-point deficit entering final-round play Saturday at the inaugural Can Am Cup at Barefoot Resort & Golf, taking 7.5 of a possible 12 points in better ball competition at The Dye Course to win the competition, 16-14.
The teams of Hunter Watkins/Brandon Mahoney and Jessy Long/Ralph Brittian paced Team USA by taking two points each, while the Robert Rains/Tim Winkler tandem earned a net point advantage over Team Canada’s Jay Petroff and Dave Struthers to help seal the victory.
