Video Spotlight: The Avocet at Wild Wing Plantation

Join us on a breathtaking video journey of one of the Grand Strand’s most creative designs: the work of Larry Nelson and Jeff Brauer at the beautiful Avocet Course at Wild Wing Plantation.

Quietly tucked away on a secluded preserve all by itself, the Avocet Course at Wild Wing Plantation offers one of the finest golf experiences in all of Myrtle Beach.

As you pull up to the clubhouse, you know you’ve arrived somewhere unique. There are very few courses that naturally embrace the beautiful terrain, trees and existing nature to create such a enjoyable playing an experience…and Avocet at Wild Wing has done just this.

Designed by two-time PGA Championship winner, Larry Nelson, Avocet is one of only eight courses in the Myrtle Beach area designed by a PGA Championship winner. Players find the layout to be everything they expect of a championship course – with beautifully framed tee shots, appropriately placed bunkers, naturally incorporated lakes, gentle mounding and challenging greens … all matched with superb conditions … year-round.

The par 72 layout stretches over 7,100 yards from the back tees with numerous unique features, like a double green shared by the 6th and 17th holes. The tall, Carolina pines provide a signature look and beautifully shape this classic design with a flowing combination of short and long par threes, dogleg holes, straight away par fives and a drivable par four; the 308-yard 14th hole.

This natural setting is of course home to all kinds of wildlife that calls Avocet at Wild Wing Plantation home as well, from alligators to water fowl, majestic white herons and the occasional white tail deer. There’s a reason why you’ll find so much wildlife.

Stop … listen … what’ll you hear is Mother Nature … away from homes, players enjoy just what they came for: golf and peace.

Come enjoy a memorable golf experience and appreciate the best Myrtle Beach golf has to offer – all on the Avocet Course at Wild Wing Plantation. Your next best round is here!
