Myrtle Beach is home to nearly 90 golf courses and traveling the area to play them is part of the attraction, but let’s be honest, staying and playing in one place is appealing. Whether your group wants to play a round or two onsite or never wants to venture off property, here are five of Myrtle Beach’s premier stay-and-play options. 

OK, time to get back on track. “The Big Timer” is hoping for a bounce back at his next stop as he takes on the par-4 16th hole at Crown Park Golf Club. Let’s see if Charlie can card a red number on this challenging dogleg hole!

The Myrtle Beach design work of Arnold Palmer is marked by several of the Grand Strand’s most memorable holes. The Myrtle Beach golf scene was off and running this week as we kicked off the New Year in style! It may have been a bit chilly, but that didn’t stop golfers across the Grand Strand from really heating up on the course. This week, Jim Maggio stopped by two of the area’s most notable designs, “The Granddaddy” at Pine Lakes Country Club and The Dye Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf. The closing hole at Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club in Conway, S.C. has “The Big Timer” becoming “The Story Timer” – weaving an epic tale of the historic origins for this celebrated design that may or may not be accurate. Will it distract him from the task at hand: taming the par-4 18th? Tune in to find out!

“The Big Timer” is headed back to school, taking on the par-3 10th hole at the golf home of the Chanticleers, The Hackler Course at Coastal Carolina University. Let’s see if Charlie’s able to stay on the birdie train!
