From the Archives: Heritage Club Then (and Now)

Thanks to Heritage Club Superintendent Jim Huntoon, we’re pleased to show you here some vintage imagery from the popular South Strand design’s early days. We’ve placed them side by side with modern-day pictures to give you a sense of how the course has evolved over time.

Enjoy!

The famous peninsula green at No. 18 bore a distinctly different look then (top) than it does today (bottom). How would you have played this hole today if that big mound in the back of this green was still there?

The original architect’s rendering for the 17th green at Heritage Club, compared to its present-day look. Dan Maples appears to have stayed true to his original vision for this hole.

The original course map, with a modern-day aerial view of Heritage Club. Age has certainly treated this popular Dan Maples design quite well!
