There are plenty of golf courses from which to choose along the Grand Strand, and as tough as the playing decisions can be on any given day it can be just as hard as choosing where to enjoy your favorite post-round beverage! Here are three of my favorite local spots to enjoy after your round – one each from the South, Central and North Strand:
Tidal Creek Brewhouse. If you’re playing Arrowhead, World Tour, Prestwick or anywhere central, Tidal Creek is the perfect spot for your after-golf libations. My personal favorite Tidal Creek brew is its Breezy Blonde. But if beer isn’t your thing, no worries! They have specialty liquor drinks as well. If you’re hungry, try the pretzel with beer cheese.
Pawleys Island Tavern. Playing down in Pawleys Island? The Pawleys Island Tavern is my go-to spot! “The PIT” is a special place where my friends, family and I have been going to enjoy countless pitchers and good times. If you go at night, you’ll likely enjoy some live music. Sit back, relax, have a drink, and collect all the money you took off your buddies. But don’t leave before you sign a dollar and put it on the wall!
Crooked Hammock Brewery. Let’s head north! If you play one or more of the four Barefoot Resort courses, Arcadian Shores, Azalea Sands, or any north end course, Crooked Hammock is the spot to be! We’ll start with the food first. The Longboard Nachos … it’s an entire pizza pan full of chips, melty cheese, pico, corn & black bean salad, chipotle crema, pickled jalapeños, and sour cream. Trust me on this one: add the pulled pork. It’s a game changer. My favorite beer is definitely the “Four Tires, Two Friends, and a Radio.” You really cannot go wrong with any of them.
I’ve only scratched the surface here. If any of these options sound good, be sure to include them on your itinerary as you plan your next Myrtle Beach golf trip today!
