October 8, 2013

Brad Redding is the best teacher in South Carolina, according to Golf DigestGolf Digest surveyed a panel of 1,200 of the leading instructors in America to assemble its biennial ranking of “The Best Teachers in America 2013+2014.”

As part of the effort, Golf Digest ranked the top instructors in each state, and one of Myrtle Beach’s finest was named the best teacher in South Carolina.

Brad Redding, who works out of the Members Club at Grande Dunes, has long been regarded as one of America’s premier instructors, so his spot atop the Palmetto State list wasn’t a  surprise, but it was further validation of his expertise.

“It’s very gratifying, and I’m very blessed that people have recognized my contribution to teaching,” Redding said. “It’s a nice complement coming from your peers (in the profession).”

As a six-time Tennessee PGA Teacher of the Year, a Golf Channel “Golf Academy Live” and “Your Game Night” instructor, in addition to being a contributor to Golf Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Golf Digest, USA Today and PGA Magazine, Redding has worked with players of all abilities, from beginners to PGA Tour Players.

A Master PGA Professional, Redding has been ranked among America’s Top 100 Teachers by Golf Magazine.

Redding is also an adjunct professor with the PGA of America’s Professional Golf Management Program. As part of his work with the PGA, Redding travels around the country providing training to the game’s next generation of teachers.

He was in Port St. Lucie, Fla., in September and has appearances at Coastal Carolina and Eastern Kentucky University in the coming weeks.

A method teacher, Redding works to help players understand their ball flight, given that it is the single greatest source of information about a golfer’s swing. When players understand what their ball flight is telling them, they can employ the instruction Redding provides long after they’ve left the range.

Whether you are looking for private lessons or a three-day school, Redding is among the best instructors in America.
