The Bridge at World Tour Brings New Practice, Entertainment Venue to Myrtle Beach Golf

The Bridge at World Tour Golf Links brings together a traditional golf course with a technology-driven practice range now open to the public, serving a multitude of needs through its Toptracer Golf system. Hear from Andrew Cheek, Head Teaching Professional and Director of Player Development, about what makes The Bridge and Toptracer a one-of-a-kind attraction in Myrtle Beach golf that serves a wider audience than your traditional driving range.

Andrew Cheek:

Toptracer is a full-flight monitors and camera system that will watch the golf ball from the start of flight to completion of flight. It’s going to track the golf ball on every metric from shot shape to speed of golf shot to height to golf shot. And it can then take that and compute it into virtual golf, games for family and kids, or it can tell us exactly all the statistics we need to know as golfers to better our game and perform better on the golf course.

The Bridge at World Tour is multifaceted. We have multiple bridges on property that are inspired by famous (golf course) bridges from around the globe and different properties, but this is our bridge from this new modern simulator technology golf to green grass facilities. So we’re trying to capture everybody from your new golfer who is fascinated with seeing the ball fly on a monitor, or a screen, or a simulator to the golfer who is retired and wants a place they can just come out and hit a few golf balls in the afternoon and hang out.

On top of the food and beverage service, we’re going to have an instruction program that we are lifting off. Tyler Foust and I are getting an instruction academy here lifted off the ground where we’re building programs for both ladies, juniors, and then obviously new golfers. Outside of that, we’re going to have leagues. We’re going to have events where we have corporate gatherings and then basically anything that you can think of where we can incorporate this technology into a group or entertainment function.

The daily hours operation for right now, we’re going to be 10AM to dusk. Mondays and Thursdays we will open at 11AM just because we have to cut the range and mow and do some landscaping work every week. But for right now during the summertime, we’ll be 10AM to dusk. It’s $15 to rent the bay per half hour, and for every additional golfer it’s going to be $5.

You can go to toptracermyrtlebeach.com or our World Tour Golf Links website and you can reserve a bay. We go through an online reservation portal called Sweetspot, where you can go on and book your bay in half hour increments and from there, you can book as many bays or however long you’d like to be here for.
