Join us here in celebrating 25 years of great moments from the Myrtle Beach golf scene’s most prominent golf resort, Barefoot Resort & Golf, as we take a sentimental journey through its photo archives – thanks to the efforts of Barefoot Resort’s Trey Evans, who uncovered these gems for us to share with you.

Today we feature the Dye Course, the most prominent footprint along the Grand Strand golf scene you’ll find from one of the game’s design legends, Pete Dye. And his signature course in North Myrtle Beach has now been creating indelible memories for visiting golfers for more than a quarter century.

Check out Mr. Dye in action as he created his masterpiece, and enjoy additional images of some notable celebrities who’ve enjoyed it over the years – including past Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters participants Arnold Palmer, John Daly, Steve Spurrier and Stuart Scott.

We’ve also included some bonus images of the iconic gateway to Barefoot Resort, its renowned swing bridge, as it was put in place at the turn of the millennium.

Be sure to stay in touch with Play Golf Myrtle Beach as we take similar photo journeys later this year through the archives of the Barefoot designs of Tom Fazio, Davis Love III and Greg Norman!
