Frontier Airlines Announces New Nonstop Routes to Myrtle Beach from Philadelphia, Newark

Frontier AirlinesFrontier Airlines has announced new nonstop routes to Myrtle Beach from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Newark, New Jersey that will launch service to the Grand Strand on July 2, 2020.

Flights serving Myrtle Beach from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays this summer, while those serving Myrtle Beach from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will run on Thursdays and Sundays.

As an added enticement, Frontier announced “intro fares” serving Myrtle Beach as low as $29 applicable to Tuesday flights to and from Newark, and Myrtle Beach fares as low as $39 applicable to Thursday flights to and from Philadelphia.

As part of sweeping health and safety enhancements the airline launched in April in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Frontier will begin required temperature screening for all passengers and employees on Monday, June 1, 2020. Anyone having a temperature 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher will be denied boarding as a step to protect other passengers.

In April, Frontier began requiring face coverings be worn by all onboard passengers and employees and well as a health acknowledgement by passengers, which confirms that:

  • Neither they nor anyone in their household has exhibited COVID-19 related symptoms in the last 14 days
  • They will check their temperature before heading to the airport and not travel if they have a fever
  • They will wash their hands/sanitize before boarding the flight
  • They understand and acknowledge the airline’s face covering policy and pre-boarding temperature screening policies
