Golf Trek Challenge Set to Welcome Hundreds to the North Strand Golf Scene

A sold-out field of nearly 200 competitors from 18 states including New Hampshire, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and more descends upon the North Strand this week as the 2021 Golf Trek Challenge plays host on six popular tracks beginning Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 13.

, Lockwood Folly, The Pearl, Rivers Edge, the Jones Course at Sea Trail and Thistle Golf Club are the venues for this two-person team event. Round 1 at Lockwood Folly and Sea Trail-Jones will be contested in a best-ball format, while Saturday’s second round at Rivers Edge and Carolina National features a Texas scramble. Sunday’s final round action at The Pearl and Thistle will be played in a modified alternate shot format. Flighting was determined by total team handicap index.

Each two-man team is vying for a top-three finish, any of which will earn them credits for future golf vacation travel packages booked through Golf Trek, a company with more than four decades and 1 million tee times’ worth of experience whose local golf experts specialize in customized trip planning to suit the needs of any type of golf traveler or group. The first-place finishers earn a $250 credit for each team member, second place awards $150 credits to each team member and third place nets each team member a $50 travel credit.

In addition to three rounds of golf, each participant also receives an Antigua outerwear jacket, a $75 gift card to House’s Place restaurant at event lodging host Sea Trail Resort, and eligibility for awards and random drawing prizes.
