With two rounds complete, Austin Peay’s Chase Korte and UNC Wilmington’s Lansdon Robbins are tied for the lead in the men’s division of the Golfweek Myrtle Beach

Collegiate being contested at The Dye Course at Barefoot Resort.

Korte’s second-round score of 69 and Robbins’ two-under tally of 70 have them deadlocked at 5-under par heading into final round play Friday, two shots clear of Cincinnati’s Joey McCarthy and three shots ahead of States Fort (Coastal Carolina), Nicholas Gabrelcik (North Florida) and Tanner Guthrie (Central Alabama CC).

Through 15 holes of second-round play, first-round women’s leader Taylor Roberts (Florida State) has widened her advantage to three shots with a 4-under par total, with Nicole Adam (North Carolina) the lone additional player with a tournament score currently under par. With heavy rains delaying the day’s action for several hours, play was suspended due to darkness. The women will resume Round 2 at 7 a.m. Friday, with final-round pairings set to begin at 7:30 a.m. Friday for the men and 12:09 p.m. Friday for the women.

LEADERBOARD – MEN | WOMEN

A full field of 119 competitors covering men’s and women’s divisions is teeing it up in this 54-hole stroke play event. The field is comprised of players who were on a college roster during the 2019-2020 season, as well as incoming college freshmen who are signed to play in college starting this fall. In either scenario, it marks a highly anticipated return to competition for players whose college and high school seasons were cut short in 2020 by the coronavirus pandemic.
