In this episode of the Myrtle Beach Golf Buzz, host Blair O'Neal goes to Thoroughbred's, a steakhouse that has been sending golfers home happy for more than 20 years.

Blair: Hi, my name is Blair O'Neal, Host of The Golf Buzz, presented by
Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday. Today I am with David Ammond, General Manager of
Thoroughbreds Steakhouse. Thanks for having us today.
David: Thank you very much for coming.
Blair: So can you tell us a little bit about Thoroughbreds?
David: Yes. Thoroughbred's was established in 1988. It is one of the few
independent restaurants left here in Myrtle Beach that has been successful
for well over 20 years.
Blair: And it is one of a kind?
David: It is one of a kind. The only one is right here in Myrtle Beach.
Blair: Very nice. What is your specialty here?
David: We primarily specialize in steaks. We also do seafood as well, but
we are well-known for our excellent cuts of beef, like the one you see
right here which is our slow roasted U.S.D.A. prime rib, which we usually
run out of by about 7:00, so if you want that you better be early.
Blair: Get here early.
David: That's right.
Blair: And what time do you guys open?
David: We do open at 4:30 every day, we close at 10:00, Fridays and
Saturdays we will stay open until 11:00.
Blair: I see we have a nice glass of wine here with the steak. Do you guys
have a nice wine selection?
David: We do. We have over 200 different wines from every corner of the
earth. We also have happy hour, which is Monday through Friday from 4:30
until 7:00.
Blair: Excellent, our golfers will love that, especially when they are
coming to play golf, they want to go to a nice happy hour. What about any
other dinner specials?
David: Dinner specials, we also do every day a buy one get one special for
the early birds. That is from 4:30 until 5:30 every single day.
Blair: Nice, that is a great deal. As far as making reservations, how do
we go about doing that?
David: If you would like to make a reservation, the best way to do that is
just call our office here at 843-497-2636 and make a reservation with one
of our lovely hostesses.
