Let’s get this straight, the sixth hole, an island green par 3, isn’t difficult by any conventional evaluation. The hole plays just 145 yards from the blue tees, so no matter your skill level, you will have a scoring club in your hands.

The green is plenty big and there is room to miss on both sides, including a bunker on the left. The challenge on the sixth hole largely resides between your ears. This is the hole where everyone breaks out their phone as it’s pretty and the waters surrounding the green are a favorite of the local alligator population.

As you sit on the tee, there is much to talk about and see, and the tee shot isn’t daunting, by island green standards, but don’t be lulled into a false sense of security. The green is big, so make sure you get your yardage and put yourself in the proper spot, enhancing your chances of making par or even birdie.
