Myrtle Beach International Airport Announces Return of Service to Toronto, Canada on Porter Airlines in 2022

After a two-year hiatus, nonstop air service to Myrtle Beach from Canada returns with a flourish as Porter Airlines will resume seasonal flights from Toronto to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) early in the new year.

Beginning March 9, 2022, Porter will offer twice-weekly nonstop flights between MYR and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ). Flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays through May 28, 2022.

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) is located in the heart of Canada’s largest city, a dynamic metropolis with a core of soaring skyscrapers, all dwarfed by the iconic, free-standing CN Tower. As travelers from MYR can look forward to the ability to step off the plane, into a vibrant city teeming with shopping, attractions, sporting events, art galleries, heritage sites and more, Myrtle Beach-bound travelers from Ontario and beyond will once more enjoy the benefit and convenience of uninterrupted air travel to “The Golf Capital of the World.”

“Relax with a trip to sandy beaches and sunshine,” said Michael Deluce, president and CEO, Porter Airlines. “We’re looking forward to returning to another seasonal destination. Myrtle Beach is only a short flight away and is perfect for a short getaway.”

Adds Scott Van Moppes, Horry County Department of Airports director, “The Myrtle Beach International Airport team is excited to welcome back our Canadian visitors. We’ve truly missed the opportunity to serve our friends to the North and have eagerly awaited the ability to reconnect Toronto and the Grand Strand. We thank Porter for their dedication to the Myrtle Beach market and for enabling the return of this popular route.”
