Paige Spiranac Plays with One-Handed Golfer Brandon Canesi

Paige Spiranac recently met one-handed golfer Brandon Canesi, who had a video go viral after carding an ace on a par 3 in Myrtle Beach. Watch as the two play at Pine Lakes Country Club and talk about the impact golf has had on Brandon’s life.

Paige Spiranac:
Brandon and I hit it off right away. I’m an ambassador for Cybersmile, which is an anti-bullying organization. I go around and I speak with kids on what cyber bullying is and then also try to get them into golf. He was telling me about his story and the hardships that he’s dealt with his whole life and how he feels like this is almost a blessing in disguise.

Brandon Canesi:
It’s such a mental and really tough game to fully feel like you have control of it.

Paige Spiranac:
He wants to use what he has to inspire others and to be that person of hope and show them that, hey, anyone can play golf. I love that, because my biggest thing is anyone can play golf, and I think we need to show more diversity in the game.

We played two holes together, kind of like country club, and such a cool, nice guy. We automatically just bonded over the things that we’ve been through, how we’re gonna team up and try to do some stuff in the future of maybe more speaking engagements or anything where we can bring more people together.

Brandon Canesi:
Got to do it again sometime.

Paige Spiranac:
Rematch, right?

Brandon Canesi:
Rematch. Cool.

Paige Spiranac:
Let’s go!
