Take a Tour of the New & Improved Wedgefield Country Club!
Our most recent visit to the Myrtle Beach area’s South Strand courses included a trip to Georgetown, where we got to see first-hand the extensive new look and experience being offered now at Wedgefield Country Club.
After a quick course flyover with our drone, owner Christian Crescenzo took us on a tour of a series of renovations and enhancements made at Wedgefield in the past year, including:
- Wedgefield’s redesigned 16th hole, a par three now featuring a new bulkhead, reframed tee boxes, new cart path and newly combined pond structure;
- Clearing the area behind the green at No. 17, opening up a dramatic new view of the Black River;
- Their new pro shop and Brick House Pub, each now offering check-in, retail and food/beverage services in newly appointed buildings separate from Wedgefield’s main building; and
- Renovated cabins that now offer a compelling “stay and play” option for visiting golfers looking for a home lodging base for their South Strand golf getaway
