Team Led by Web.com Player Jimmy Gunn, NHL Legend Grant Fuhr Wins Monday After the Masters

For the 12th consecutive year, a sellout out crowd of 6,000+ fans packed the Dye Course to watch their favorite athletes, musicians and celebrities compete in the Monday After the Masters, the largest one-day fundraiser in South Carolina.

Basketball, football and hockey hall of famers joined several big-name media personalities and nationally recognized musicians to highlight this year’s field.

Among the headliners were Dan Patrick of NBC Sports, basketball legend Rick Barry, Fuhr, one of hockey’s all-time greats and Bruce Smith, the NFL’s all-time leader in sacks. ESPN personalities Mike Golic Sr. and Mike Golic Jr. were also among the big names.

Country music sensation Cole Swindell, Grammy winner Dan Tyminski, and obviously, the guys from Hootie & the Blowfish – Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker, and Jim Sonefeld – played.

Among the high profile professional golfers who competed were LPGA legend and Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez, two-time major champion John Daly, former FedEx Cup winner Billy Horschel and Charlie Rymer.

The event was played on Barefoot Resort’s Dye Course for the 14th consecutive year.

Westwood One, America’s largest radio network, broadcast two national radio programs –the Tiki & Tierney and Doug Gottlieb shows – providing Myrtle Beach national exposure.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, which supports the educational needs of children in South Carolina and the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation through a fully funded endowment.
