“The course is a Pete Dye design. Known, of the four courses on site, probably as one of the toughest courses,” says Genevro. It's definitely a course that you have to play more than once to appreciate. A lot of people who play it for the first time, they think it's too difficult. But it just comes out to finding out a lot of times where you don't want to hit it, versus where to hit it to make it more comfortable playing.”

On rumors that the 18th hole is one of the toughest in the area, Genevro says “It is, it's tough. It's a dog-leg left, par 4 and reaches out to 475 yards. The second shot into the green is guarded on the entire left side by a lake, and if you miss the apron on the left, you're in the water. Advice to people playing it for the first time, if you're hitting more than a long iron in, say a 3 iron or a utility wood, most times you're better off just playing a little bit short of the green and try to get up down for a safe par.”

We host the host “Monday After the Masters” charity golf tournament, we've hosted Hooters Tour events, and we're an annual host site for the Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Tournament, hosted by Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday.”
