This par 70 layout plays just under 6,700 yards with design elements not commonly found around this area … undulating greens, expansive bunkers and numerous long water views … all carved through tall Carolina pines and deciduous Live Oaks.
Its given namesake, Oyster Bay, is commonly seen throughout the course with crushed oyster shells surrounding tees and playable waste areas on numerous holes.
This 5th hole runs alongside the Calabash River providing spectacular views down the entire length of this hole.
Though perhaps most memorable at Oyster Bay Golf Links are its picturesque par 3s. The finishing 6 holes include two fantastic par 3s, equally as challenging as they are visually stimulating. The 15th requires a forced carry over water to this island green with views of the Intracoastal Waterway to your right.
Its signature hole, the par 4 16th, requires distance and accuracy to navigate the ever-present lake down the right, then another forced carry to reach the green and finally intimidating greenside bunkers, indeed a strong test for anyone’s game.
Make your way to the 17th to meet a short, but daunting par 3 challenge with another island green and plenty of huge alligators ready to claim any mishit tee shot. All 18 holes provide a unique challenge and memorable experience with plenty of natural water features, expansive bunkers and strategically positioned trees that are always in play.
