We’re back in the heart of the Grand Strand to check in on one of the busiest hubs in The Golf Capital of the World®, Myrtlewood Golf Club. It made a splash when it first entered this list in 2024, and heading into the third edition of the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic the Grand Strand’s host venue for this 2026 PGA TOUR event, The Dunes Golf & Beach Club, once more remains among Golfweek’s top picks of courses chosen to host the sport’s elite in TOUR competition.

The Dunes Club comes in as Golfweek’s 17th-rated course among the 36 in the U.S. that will host PGA TOUR events this year.

From Brunswick County, N.C. to the south end of the Grand Strand, you’ll find several layouts that share the common trait of course architecture partnership: two designers instead of one. A picture-perfect afternoon was a great time to catch some chill vibes last week along the Intracoastal Waterway in the heart of Myrtle Beach at Arrowhead Country Club, the popular Tom Jackson/Raymond Floyd collaborative design. Joins us for an aerial photo tour of the holes leading up to and including that beautiful setting, as Play Golf Myrtle Beach’s Jim Maggio visited Arrowhead’s Waterway nine.

The Myrtle Beach design work of Arnold Palmer is marked by several of the Grand Strand’s most memorable holes. Two of YouTube golf’s top content creators – The Bryan Bros, featuring PGA TOUR player Wesley Bryan and professional golfer George Bryan – have once again teamed up with Play Golf Myrtle Beach for “Bros vs. Pros,” a video series pitting the popular duo in a nine-hole competition against two Grand Strand-area course pros or teaching professionals.

In the sixth installment of this series Wesley and George head to the Intracoastal Waterway, where the Tom Jackson/Ray Floyd collab design at Arrowhead Country Club awaits! So, too, do a pair of golf pros representing the Grand Strand’s vacation package providers, Josh Kosinski and Jarrin Josue from Golf Trek. Josh and Jarrin are revved up for the challenge; will it be enough to end the Bros’ unbeaten series streak? Tune in right here to find out!

Golfweek has released the latest version its always anticipated ranking of the “Top 200 Resort Courses in the U.S.” and five Myrtle Beach layouts, including three in the top 100, earned a spot on the prestigious list to further cement the Grand Strand’s status as The Golf Capital of the World®.
