The $93.5 million, 50,000-square-foot expansion to concourse A at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) took just 17 months to complete. The first steel was set on Dec. 2, 2024, nearly one year to the day before the Dec. 1, 2025 ribbon cutting.

“We are just thrilled that this project was able to come in at about six weeks under time and about $4.5 million under budget,” said Judi Olmstead, Horry County’s Director of Airports.

Breeze Airways will offer a new nonstop flight from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) in Islip, N.Y., to Myrtle Beach starting in spring 2026, according to multiple news reports from Long Island media and an announcement from Grand Strand airport officials.

Spirit Airlines announced this week that a new nonstop flight serving Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) from Louisville (SDF), Kentucky will begin March 19. The new Louisville route joins the resumption of seasonal nonstop service to Myrtle Beach from Cleveland (CLE), Rochester (ROC), Latrobe (LBE) and Chicago (ORD), the airline said in a release issued Monday, Feb. 3.

Avelo Airlines has announced an expansion of its service at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). Starting April 4, 2025, the airline will provide twice-weekly flights to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) on Mondays and Fridays. Introductory one-way fares will begin at $64.
