Grande Dunes Resort Course isn’t “just” an outstanding Myrtle Beach golf course. The Roger Rulewich design has been ranked among America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses by Golf Digest and it is, by consensus, one of the golf-rich Palmetto State’s finest layouts.

Golfers are again on the hunt at Tiger’s Eye, one of the Myrtle Beach area’s premier courses.

In this installment of the Golf Instruction Zone, Steve Dresser of the renowned Steve Dresser Golf Academy in Pawleys Island, South Carolina demonstrates a drill that will help reinforce the proper swing path for hitting your driver effectively.

The Moorland Course at Legends Resort is, arguably, the property’s signature layout. A P.B. Dye design, Moorland is by reputation among the most difficult courses in Myrtle Beach, and Golf Digest once ranked it one the America’s 50 hardest layouts. 

The First Tee of The Grand Strand is dedicated to growing the game of golf and instilling the organization’s nine core values into young players. While those values are great, fun is what attracts kids to the game and the TFTTGS delivered on that account with an instructional clinic that also showcased some extraordinary golf skills. 

On a picturesque day, Meadowlands Golf Club celebrated its 20th anniversary with an outing that attracted a full field and showcased the course at its best. 

Golf is, by its very nature, a difficult game, but the challenge of besting our own “personal par,” whatever that might be, is part of the fun. What can make the quest even more enjoyable is playing a very good Myrtle Beach golf course that presents an opportunity to score.

Arrowhead Country Club is home to 27 holes, several of which play along the Intracoastal Waterway. It is renowned for being among Myrtle Beach’s best-conditioned courses, and it enjoys a central location.

The McLamb family’s history in Brunswick County dates back nearly two centuries, and much to the delight of golfers, they opened their first course two decades ago. 

Pine Lakes Country Club is “The Granddaddy,” the birthplace of Myrtle Beach golf, and it’s celebrating its 90th birthday this year.

Curtis Henley of Poquoson, Va. shot a gross 82, good for a net 66, to win the World Championship Playoff at the 34th Annual Myrtle Beach World Amateur Handicap Championship Friday at Barefoot Resort's Dye Club.

In 2013, a group of Myrtle Beach area PGA pros, led by Crow Creek’s Jimmy Biggs, set out to raise money for Folds of Honor, an organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.
