A full field of 390 golfers from 30 states, Canada and Mexico have descended upon the Grand Strand this week in their quest for more than $10,000 in prizes as they compete in the 2024 TRUE Linkswear World Am Q School at 12 Myrtle Beach-area courses.

If ever there was a stop along this journey that Charlie might hit a speed bump, this was it: the challenging par-5 finishing hole at Arnold Palmer’s Rivers Edge in Shallotte, N.C. Par’s a great score here; can “The Big Timer” stave off revenge to get that – or even better?

The stage is set for a dramatic final round at the ninth annual Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship Presented by LA Golf at TPC Myrtle Beach, with Jackson Herrington (Dickson, Tenn.) and Vanessa Borovilos (Toronto, Canada) looking to close out victories in one of America’s premier junior tournaments.  

Trey Marrion (Chesapeake, Va.) and Elizabeth Rudisill (Charlotte, N.C.) both shot 3-under 69 to take one-stroke leads in the boys and girls tournaments after the first round of the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship Presented by LA Golf at TPC Myrtle Beach.

Fresh off snapping his lengthy par streak with a breakthrough performance at Oyster Day, Charlie’s got another par 5 in his quest to start a red-number streak – this one on the 4th hole of the Stewart nine at Thistle Golf Club in Sunset Beach, N.C.
