Among the many jewels scattered throughout this golfing paradise are the courses that provide enchanting views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Today, we explore six golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area that play alongside these captivating waterfront panoramas.

Check out the week in photos, as this past week David Williams stopped by the Palmetto Course at Myrtlewood Golf Club, “The Granddaddy” at Pine Lakes and Tidewater Golf Club while Jim Maggio sent the drone to the skies to capture some new images at Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club!

It’s all part of Golficity’s six-part video series highlighting “Golf Town USA – The Best of Myrtle Beach.” In Episode 4, Mike and Frank discover what the Grand Strand brings to their third-ever Tournament Players Club golfing experience, as they visit the Tom Fazio/Lanny Wadkins-designed TPC Myrtle Beach!

The favorites lived up to their billing this weekend at the inaugural Short Par 4 Girls Palmetto Tournament of Champions at True Blue, with freshman Jenna Kim firing a 6-under par 66 Sunday to lead her Durham Academy (NC) team to a five-stroke victory while also claiming the individual title.

Ocean Annie’s Resorts is home to the ever-popular Ocean Annie’s Beach Bar, a casual seaside hangout that’s been a hit with visitors for years and years. Ocean Annie’s Beach Bar has received an outstanding 4.5 out of 5 rating from more than 1,200 Google reviewers, with the live music, dancing and the pool among the most talked-about features at this popular seaside gathering spot.

Leopard’s Chase Golf Links, one of the four “Big Cats” courses at Ocean Ridge Plantation, has completed its recent renovations and reopened last week with the unveiling of its brand-new, TifEagle ultradwarf Bermudagrass greens.

The challenge turns up a notch this episode as “The Big Timer” takes on the par-5 2nd hole at the Tom Fazio/Lanny Wadkins-designed TPC Myrtle Beach, the host site of many national- and global-scale events at the junior, collegiate and professional levels.

Numerous communities comprise the Grand Strand and some, such as Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island, attract a disproportionate share of the attention. Just be sure not to overlook Little River. The waterfront community is the last outpost in the Palmetto State before golfers cross into North Carolina, and it’s home to three courses that leave players with smiles on their faces.
