The 27th Annual Veterans Classic kicked off this morning at 14 of the Myrtle Beach area’s most requested golf courses – including Shaftesbury Glen, the feature of today’s Round 1 photo gallery.
The 2026 Veterans Classic boasts a field of more than 700 veterans traveling in from states and countries throughout the globe, each playing in a two-person team event with varied daily formats for each round of play. Teams are flighted by combined team handicap and assigned to one of the Eisenhower, MacArthur, Nimitz, Franks, Lemay, or Westmoreland flights.
The Veterans Classic enters its 27th year with a long history of combining golf, fun and camaraderie. This very special event is all about giving our military friends an opportunity to enjoy a few days of hitting the links and enjoying a special experience fueled by their shared commitment to service and fellowship, whether they’re veterans of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard.
Fourteen courses are part of this year’s Veterans Classic rotation, with each round’s play conducted simultaneously at six courses. The 2026 course rotation includes Aberdeen, Blackmoor, Brunswick Golf Club, Burning Ridge, Colonial Charters, Founders Club at Pawleys Island, Glen Dornoch, Hackler Course at Coastal Carolina, International Club, Litchfield, Long Bay, Panther’s Run Golf Links, Shaftesbury Glen, and Wedgefield..
The Veterans Classic continues through Wednesday, May 20.
