Georgia Southern, UNC Wilmington Win Golfweek Fall Challenge at True Blue, Caledonia
Georgia Southern (-26) stayed in command from start to finish to capture the men’s team competition while UNC Wilmington (+2) held off a late push from Campbell to win the women’s team division of the 2026 Golfweek Fall Challenge Tuesday at True Blue and Caledonia.
UT-Martin’s Drew Williams (-10) took home medalist honors in the men’s individual competition, one of 22 out of 86 golfers in that division to finish the 54-hole tournament under par. Campbell’s Miah Rivas won the women’s division with a three-round total of 210 (-3), one of just four golfers in the women’s draw to finish under par. Team-wise, just four of 39 teams in both divisions conquered challenging scoring conditions to card 54-hole totals under par.

The tournament also marked the college golf debut of Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump. Competing as an individual from the University of Miami, she shot a three-round total of 235 to finish at T102 out of an individual field of 120.
Thirty-nine NCAA Division I programs were put to the test this week (16 on the men’s side, 23 on the women’s). Central Arkansas, Mercer, Old Dominion, Presbyterian, Radford, Troy and USC Upstate sent teams in each division, with the men’s division also including Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Missouri State, Murray State, Tennessee Tech, UT-Martin, and West Georgia.
Women’s competition featured the seven aforementioned, dual-entry schools plus Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Campbell, Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, High Point, Lipscomb, Memphis, Morehead State, Queens University of Charlotte, Stephen F. Austin, Stetson, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UNC Asheville, UNC Greensboro, and UNC Wilmington.
